Most People never think about the actual dollar value of their chandelier. But there are numerous situations when it's critical.
We frequently repair dining room chandeliers damaged by painters ladders, or falling from the ceiling after being spun too many times by the housekeeper (never spin a chandelier). A professional appraisal can ensure that you're properly insured for necessary repairs.
Today, most chandeliers are 'costume jewelry' for a house. Beautiful to look at, but the sparkle does not necessarily translate into value. Very few people can differentiate between a $200 fixture, and a $20,000 one.
Likewise, it's not uncommon for a home seller to unknowingly leave behind a $20,000 chandelier thinking it wasn't worth the price of a crate.
One of our clients was thrilled to discover that she just bought a $16,000 Baccarat at a yard sale for $50.

This includes everything from the private appraisal above, with the addition of a complete set of HD digital photos, complete specs, and shows how the research was done to arrive at the final determination of provenance and value. We highly recommend this document for any fixture worth over $5,000.00 We have already seen them pay for themselves many times over for our clients.

Pre-Sale or Private Appraisal
This level identifies the fixture age, manufacturer, quality, condition and approximate value. It's best used to ensure that the fixture is not "fake" or junk, and helps to establish a reasonable resale value. Used to settle family estate disputes. The results are written, but not legally binding.
