It's difficult to talk about Swarovski without including Schonbek in the discussion.

 

   Schonbek is a company that specializes in luxury crystal lighting fixtures. Founded in Bohemia in 1870, Schonbek has a rich tradition of creating elegant, breathtaking crystal chandeliers and sconces. They use classic design, luxurious materials, and the latest technology to transform spaces with light. Schonbek has built a reputation for crafting breathtaking crystal chandeliers that combine timeless elegance with modern design.

 

For many years Schonbek fixtures offered the option of upgrading to Swarovski crystal. Eventually the two companies merged to create some of the finest chandeliers in the world.  It’s very complicated, but Swarovski has always been a leader in the luxury lighting industry.

Our experience with the two companies has been primarily restoring Schonbek frames dressed with Swarovski crystals. Due to their popularity, Schonbek/Swarovski fixtures are the most common fixture we have ever serviced. Due to recent licensing issues with Swarovski distribution in the USA, individual Swarovski crystals are increasingly difficult or impossible to find.

 

Fortunately because we’ve restored literally thousands of them over the years we have a substantial collection of every grade of genuine vintage Swarovski/ Schonbek replacement crystals in stock going back to the early 1900’s. Including a limited selection of Elements pieces on hand. Swarovski is no longer making the  Elements line due to the high lead content, which gave that line its diamond like appearance.
